Job summary

Jobot is seeking a BAS Design Engineer to advance DDC control systems for commercial HVAC projects in Chicago, IL. This on-site, full-time role focuses on designing, documenting, and coordinating controls for new installations and retrofits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years in BAS/DDC engineering or HVAC controls design.
• Strong understanding of commercial HVAC and building automation systems.
• Experience with AHU/RTU/VAV systems and central plants.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specs, and sequences of operation.
• Proficient in engineering submittals and control schematics.

Responsibilities

• Design BAS/DDC control systems for commercial HVAC equipment and central plants.
• Develop control drawings, wiring diagrams, and sequences of operation.
• Prepare engineering submittals, equipment schedules, and BOMs.
• Select controllers, sensors, actuators, valves, and related components.
• Review drawings and project requirements; coordinate across teams.
• Support handoffs, revisions, and field installation teams.
• Maintain as-built drawings and final project documentation.
