Job summary

Omni Charlotte Hotel in the heart of Charlotte's financial district seeks an experienced bartender to deliver efficient, friendly service and maintain a clean, professional bar. Responsibilities include greeting guests, knowing the menu, upselling, handling orders in Micros, and ensuring responsible alcohol service, while collaborating with a diverse Front of House and Back of House team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year bartending experience in high-volume environments.
• Commitment to quality service and beverage knowledge.
• Strong communication skills.
• Wine, beer and spirits knowledge.
• Unexpired Food Handlers and TABC certificates or ability to obtain upon hire.
• Maintain a professional appearance and attitude.
• Able to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, anticipate needs, respond to inquiries.
• Know all food and beverage offerings.
• Maintain bar cleanliness and organization.
• Provide silverware and condiments before service.
• Reset bar area as guests depart or drinks completed.
• Set up and break down bar.
• Follow proper sink procedures and sanitation.
• Communicate professionally with management and staff.
• Contribute to a positive, productive workplace.
• Ensure responsible alcohol service per law (carding).
• Record orders in Micros and manage guest tabs.
• Monitor pars and upsell products.
• Work in a fast-paced team environment.
