• Location: Mar Monte Hotel - Santa Barbara, CA
• Salary Range: $16.50 per hour

Primary mission:

Responsible for setting up, mixing drinks, serving, and cleaning the bar area to ensure quality service, guest satisfaction, and adherence to standards, while serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Scope of Work & Team:

• Reports to Food & Beverage Venue Manager and Hotel Manager
• Supports the Food & Beverage team

Responsibilities include:

• Greeting guests warmly upon arrival
• Making and serving drinks following established guidelines
• Providing efficient and professional guest contact
• Processing payments accurately
• Maintaining liquor stock and complying with laws
• Performing side work, cleaning, and setup duties
• Serving food and beverages, upselling, and ensuring guest satisfaction
• Operating POS systems and cash handling
• Following safety, sanitation, and hotel policies

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of bartending experience preferred
• Proficiency with computer software and POS systems
• High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred
• Knowledge of safety procedures, classic cocktails, and modern drinks
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Energetic, organized, and a team player
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be 21+ to serve alcohol
