Job summary

Westin Mt Laurel is seeking a friendly and professional bartender/ server to join our hotel restaurant team. You will greet guests, upsell specials, and manage bar setup and stock while delivering accurate orders through the POS system.

The role involves maintaining station cleanliness, replenishing beverages, and assisting with bussing as needed to ensure seamless service. Applicants should have at least 1 year of prior bartending or serving experience; TIPS certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of bartending/serving experience.
• TIPS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explain specials or promotions.
• Maintain daily setup of bar including stocking beer, wine, spirits, paper products and condiments.
• Prepare and stock garnishes, juices and perishables to ensure product quality.
• Check station for setup and cleanliness before, during and after shifts.
• Record and repeat orders to guests for accuracy.
• Enter orders into POS and communicate details to the kitchen.
• Deliver orders with condiments and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Replenish beverages and monitor guest satisfaction.
• Market and serve desserts or specialty coffees upon request.
• Assist bus staff with clearing and seating guests.
• Lock up and secure beverages, food and equipment; handle cash drops.
• Perform side work including restocking condiments.
• Present the check to guests promptly.

Job Duties

• Greet the guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explain any specials and/or restaurant promotions for guest awareness.
• Maintains proper and adequate setup of the bar on a daily basis. This includes requisitioning and stocking of all beer, wine, spirits, paper products and condiments.
• Responsible for maintaining stock, cutting and storing of all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables daily to ensure product quality.
• Check station before, during and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness.
• Record the details of the order from the guests, repeating the order to the guests to check for accuracy.
• Input the order into the Point of Sale computer to inform the kitchen of the particulars in the order being placed.
• When complete, retrieve order from kitchen, confirm its accuracy, and deliver to guests along with appropriate condiments.
• Replenish beverages as necessary and check with guests for overall satisfaction.
• Market and serve upon request any desert items or specialty coffees.
• Supplement the bus help in clearing and resettling the tables.
• Locks up and stores all beverages, food and other equipment items, deposits cash drops and secures bank.
• Perform all assigned side work to include replenishing condiments and restocking.
• Present the check to guest promptly.

• 1 year prior restaurant bartending/serving experience
• TIPS Certified preferred
