Job summary

The Westin Mt Laurel is seeking a guest-focused bartender/ server to join the Food & Beverage team. You will greet guests, prepare and serve beverages, input orders into the POS, and ensure accurate delivery with condiments while maintaining the bar setup and stock.

Requires at least 1 year of restaurant bartending/serving experience; TIPS certification is preferred. Benefits include 401(k), referral program, discounted Marriott rates, and daily meals during shifts.

Qualifications

• 1 year prior restaurant bartending/serving experience is required or strongly preferred.
• TIPS certification is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explain specials and promotions.
• Maintain proper bar setup and stock beer, wine, spirits, paper products and garnishes daily.
• Input guest orders into POS and ensure accuracy before serving.
• Deliver orders with correct condiments and check guest satisfaction.
• Replenish beverages and suggest desserts or specialty coffees as requested.
• Assist in clearing and resetting tables as needed.
• Present checks promptly and handle payments.

Job Duties

• Greet the guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explain any specials and/or restaurant promotions for guest awareness.
• Maintains proper and adequate setup of the bar on a daily basis. This includes requisitioning and stocking of all beer, wine, spirits, paper products and condiments.
• Responsible for maintaining stock, cutting and storing of all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables daily to ensure product quality.
• Check station before, during and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness.
• Record the details of the order from the guests, repeating the order to the guests to check for accuracy.
• Input the order into the Point of Sale computer to inform the kitchen of the particulars in the order being placed.
• When complete, retrieve order from kitchen, confirm its accuracy, and deliver to guests along with appropriate condiments.
• Replenish beverages as necessary and check with guests for overall satisfaction.
• Market and serve upon request any desert items or specialty coffees.
• Supplement the bus help in clearing and resettling the tables.
• Locks up and stores all beverages, food and other equipment items, deposits cash drops and secures bank.
• Perform all assigned side work to include replenishing condiments and restocking.
• Present the check to guest promptly.

Experience

• 1 year prior restaurant bartending/serving experience
• TIPS Certified preferred
