Job summary

The Westin Mt Laurel is seeking an experienced bartender/server to join our Food & Beverage team in Mount Laurel, NJ. You will greet guests, take drink orders, prepare beverages, and ensure smooth service at the bar and dining area.

Responsibilities include stocking, maintaining bar cleanliness, handling orders in the POS system, and presenting checks. Prior experience and a friendly, team-oriented attitude are essential to success in this role.

Qualifications

• 1 year of bartending/serving experience required.
• TIPS certification preferred.

Job Duties

• Greet the guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explain any specials and/or restaurant promotions for guest awareness.
• Maintains proper and adequate setup of the bar on a daily basis. This includes requisitioning and stocking of all beer, wine, spirits, paper products and condiments.
• Responsible for maintaining stock, cutting and storing of all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables daily to ensure product quality.
• Check station before, during and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness.
• Record the details of the order from the guests, repeating the order to the guests to check for accuracy.
• Input the order into the Point of Sale computer to inform the kitchen of the particulars in the order being placed.
• When complete, retrieve order from kitchen, confirm its accuracy, and deliver to guests along with appropriate condiments.
• Replenish beverages as necessary and check with guests for overall satisfaction.
• Market and serve upon request any desert items or specialty coffees.
• Supplement the bus help in clearing and resettling the tables.
• Locks up and stores all beverages, food and other equipment items, deposits cash drops and secures bank.
• Perform all assigned side work to include replenishing condiments and restocking.
• Present the check to guest promptly.

Experience:

• 1 year prior restaurant bartending/serving experience
• TIPS Certified preferred
