To serve beverages and/or food to guests in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner, ensuring guest satisfaction. Also, to prepare beverages for other servers to supply to guests, and act as cashier for the lounge.

- Greet guests courteously, promote and document drink orders, and mix, garnish, and present drinks using standard recipes with prudent portion control.
- Maintain proper bar setup daily, including requisitioning and stocking beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, and produce based on the daily functions sheet.
- Maintain stock, cut, and store fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and perishables daily to ensure quality.
- Handle cash transactions, verify charges, record transactions, and balance all money.
- Secure beverages, food, and equipment, deposit cash drops, and secure the bank.
- Answer the bar phone promptly, take room service orders courteously, input orders into the POS system, and create checks for each guest to maintain accountability.
- Perform cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products to meet health standards.
- Follow all company policies, safety, and security procedures, including fire prevention and emergency protocols.
- Use protective equipment as required, report unsafe conditions, accidents, injuries, property damage, or loss to supervisors.
- Maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance according to the team member handbook.
- Perform any additional duties requested by supervisors or managers.
- Assist other beverage personnel as needed.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of liquor regulations related to serving minors and intoxicated guests.
- Hold a current Food Handler Card.
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of alcoholic beverages.
- Basic mathematical skills for operating a cash register, making change, totaling checks, and preparing cash drops.
- Basic English writing skills for requisitions and vouchers.
- Sufficient manual dexterity for handling garnishes, glassware, bottles, ice, and mixing drinks.
- Basic English comprehension to understand customer inquiries and instructions.
- Ability to read and apply product labeling instructions safely.
- Ability to remember and promote menu items.
- Ability to operate beverage equipment such as coffee makers.
Physical Demands
- Transport up to 30 lbs. frequently in a crowded environment.
- Lift a maximum of 30 pounds.
- Constant standing and walking required, with frequent twisting, bending, reaching, talking, hearing, seeing, and smiling.
