Job summary

Fairmont Pittsburgh is seeking a skilled Bartender to deliver exceptional guest service in a luxury setting. You will work under the Restaurant General Manager, creating a welcoming bar environment and ensuring top-quality cocktails and wine knowledge.

Responsibilities include bar setup, inventory, cash handling, and maintaining responsible service standards. Ideal candidates have 1 year of bartending experience (or 6 months in a Fairmont F&B role), Ramp and Mixology certification a plus, and

Qualifications

• 1 year bartending in a fast-paced, high-end setting (or 6 months at a Fairmont property).
• Ramp Certification and Mixology certification is an asset.
• Proficient with Point of Sale (POS) systems and beverage inventory control.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional, engaging service and welcoming atmosphere.
• Know wine and cocktails offered; manage beverage inventory and garnishes.
• Handle bar setup/teardown and cash handling; ensure responsible alcohol service.

Job Description

Summary Of Responsibilities

Reporting to the Restaurant General Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

• Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service
• Create a welcoming environment
• Knowledgeable of wine & cocktails offered
• Beverage inventory
• Bar set up, tear down and preparation of garnishes and mixes
• Stool and Service Bartending
• Cash handling
• Provide responsible service of alcohol
• Assist guests with enquiries
• Review daily reports, arrival’s, VIP’s and groups in house
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 yearexperience requiredas a Bartender in a fast-paced, high-end bar / luxury propertyand/or substantial Fairmont food & beverage experience (minimum of 6 months)in a high volume bartending capacity
• Ramp Certified and Mixology certification an asset
• Operational knowledge and proficiency in Point of Sale System
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Highly responsible & reliable
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment, while working cohesively as part of a team
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):

• Constant standing and walking throughout shift
• Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50lbs
• Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
• Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
• Ability to stand and be mobile for up to 8 hours
• Ability to move quickly and efficiently

Visa Requirements: Must have proof of valid U.S. work authorization.
