Job summary

Fairmont Hotels & Resorts in Pittsburgh is looking for a team member to provide professional and friendly service in a luxury setting. Responsibilities include assisting with Food & Beverage service, maintaining service stations, and ensuring guest satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will have prior Food & Beverage experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive under pressure. Weekend availability is required.

Job description

Fairmont Pittsburgh, a 4 diamond LEED certified luxury hotel, is located at the heart of Pittsburgh’s business, cultural and retail hub. Fairmont Pittsburgh offers superb and distinctive guest services and accommodations in a luxury setting.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Restaurant General Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

• Consistently offer professional, engaging and friendly service
• Set up service stations and ensures bussing of stations throughout the shift
• Assist bartenders with maintaining stocks, changing kegs, collecting empty glasses, re-stocking ice and food service
• Assist servers with food service, bussing, maintaining stocks and clean glassware
• Full knowledge of Food & Beverage menus and offerings
• Creating a welcoming atmosphere
• Assists with guest enquiries
• Review daily reports, arrivals, VIP’s, and groups in house
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Your Experience and Skills Include:

• Previous Food & Beverage experience required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment, while working cohesively as part of a team
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
• Weekend availability is required
• Constant standing and walking throughout shift
• Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50lbs
• Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
• Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
• Ability to move quickly and efficiently
