Job summary

Casa de Montecristo seeks a Lead Bartender to guide a team and deliver a premier guest experience across the bar, restaurant and lounge areas in Houston. You will lead service, showcase products, and uphold the Casa de Montecristo brand through exemplary hospitality and sales leadership.

You will manage staff, inventory, and compliance while working with management to maintain safe, welcoming operations that support guest satisfaction and business goals.

Qualifications

• Previous leadership experience in a bar, restaurant or hospitality environment.
• POS and/or computer skills needed.
• Knowledge of wine, liquor and spirits. Bartender certification a plus (or required if applicable).
• Ability to work a flexible schedule (night, weekends, holidays).
• Exceptional interpersonal skills.
• Hands on team player with a strong work-ethic.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of bartenders, servers and associates to provide a world-class guest experience in the bar, restaurant, smoking lounges and overall location through exemplary service and selling skills.
• Build relationships with customers and communicate product features and promotions effectively.
• Demonstrate drive for results and contribute to sales and KPI goals; motivate others to implement sales initiatives.
• Develop and maintain strong knowledge of Casa de Montecristo products.
• Assist in leading store operations including ordering, stock control and product maintenance.
• Train and delegate tasks to staff and ensure SOPs and policies are followed.
• Open and close the location, manage cash counts and till reconciliation.
• Lead a team in compliance with state and local regulations; maintain brand image and a safe environment.

Overview

The Lead Bartender is responsible for leading a stellar guest experience and operational excellence of a Casa de Montecristo location, as part of a team that achieves high standards of results.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of bartenders, servers and associates to provide a world-class guest experience in the bar, restaurant, smoking lounges and overall location through exemplary service and selling skills. Serves as a Casa de Montecristo brand ambassador.
• Build relationships with customers. Proactively and effectively communicate product features and benefits, as well as promotional information.
• Demonstrate a tenacious drive for results. Accountable for becoming a trusted, successful expert in the bar and consistently work as part of a team to exceed sales and KPI goals. Challenges and inspires others to achieve and execute sales driving initiatives.
• Develop and maintain strong knowledge of Casa de Montecristo products.
• Assists in leading the complete operations of the store, including ordering, stock control and product maintenance.
• Performs all functions to effectively execute corporate initiatives in a timely, efficient and resource-wise manner. Trains and delegates tasks appropriately.

• Follows all Casa de Montecristo policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Responsible for daily opening and closing activities within the location, including maintaining cash counts and till reconciliation.
• Accountable for leading a team of associates in compliance to state and local regulations.
• Maintains visual and cleanliness standards to support the brand image. Ensures a comfortable, responsible and safe environment.
• Other duties as assigned
