Job Summary

Prepares and serves beverages to guests in the bar area in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Adhere to liquor laws regarding serving alcohol to minors and intoxicated guests.
2. Set up assigned bars; stock beer, wine, spirits, paper products, garnishes, glassware, ice, and produce.
3. Maintain stock and prepare fresh fruit, vegetable garnishes, juices, and perishables.
4. Greet guests courteously.
5. Take and process drink orders; mix, garnish, and present drinks following recipes; practice portion control.
6. Verify guest identification.
7. Detect guest intoxication and act accordingly; demonstrate liquor law knowledge.
8. Handle cash transactions accurately; verify charges and record vouchers.
9. Secure beverages, food, equipment, deposits, and cash; lock up and store items.
10. Perform cleaning tasks to ensure health and safety standards; keep work area organized.
11. Arrange bottles and glasses attractively.
12. Wash and sterilize stemware.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.
