Job summary

Cooper's Hawk Winery is seeking a friendly Bartender to create memorable guest experiences through knowledgeable wine and cocktail service. You will maintain stations, stock garnishes, and uphold recipes while engaging guests with warmth and recommendations.

Ideal candidates bring at least 1 year of bartending experience in high-volume settings, strong communication, and the ability to multitask during peak shifts. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is a must.

Qualifications

• Must represent Cooper's Hawk Values.
• Minimum of 1 year bartending experience in a high-volume restaurant or bar preferred.
• Strong communication and guest engagement skills.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic wine knowledge is a plus; willingness to learn is a must.
• Ability to stand and walk up to 10 hours per shift.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Arrive prepared with your station stocked, garnishes prepped, and all tools in working order
• Maintain full knowledge of Cooper's Hawk food, drink, and wine menus, as well as steps of service
• Ensure opening and mid-shift checklists are completed so the bar is ready for guests from the start
• Understand the Wine Club perks and benefits, and be ready to educate and invite our guests to the largest wine club community in the world.
• Keep your bar area clean, organized, and guest-ready throughout the shift
• Wash and sterilize glassware as needed to prevent delays in service
• Step in to assist with retail, Wine Club, or other team tasks when you notice a need
• Communicate clearly with Servers, Food Runners, Hosts, and the kitchen to ensure orders are accurate and timely
• Follow Cooper's Hawk recipes and portion standards consistently
• Complete closing duties to set the next shift up for success
• Greet each guest warmly, using their name when possible, and engage in friendly conversation
• Offer thoughtful wine, cocktail, and food recommendations based on guest preferences
• Actively educate guests about the Cooper's Hawk Wine Club and invite them to join
• Present beverages with attention to detail, from creative garnishes to polished glassware
