Vanderpump Hotel in Las Vegas is seeking a Bar Apprentice to provide excellent guest service at the bar, maintain a clean, stocked bar, and support the Bartender with various duties. The role requires customer interaction, cash handling, and strong English communication in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include bar cleaning, greeting guests, preparing and pouring drinks, processing cash transactions, handling slot-area cash conversions, and coordinating with slot staff as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• 6 months prior Bartender or Bar Apprentice experience.
• At least 1 year previous money handling position.
• Knowledge of beverages, glassware, and garnishes.
• Effective communication in English, both verbal and written.
• Neat and professional appearance.
• Ability to interact with customers, the public and co-workers.
• Teamwork with other staff members.
• Ability to accurately count money and provide change.
• Schedule flexibility including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Cleans bar area, including bar tops, sinks, glasses, refrigerators and other bar appliances.
• Acknowledges, greets and converses with customers who approach the bar.
• Prepares and pours all types of drinks for customers and cocktail servers upon request.
• Process all cash transactions by accepting money and making necessary changes accurately, while presenting customers with bar receipts.
• Convert cash to coin for any customers playing the slot machines in the bar area.
• Call a designated slot employee when needed by a guest or bartender.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Work requires 6 months prior Bartender or Bar Apprentice experience.
• Work requires at least 1-year previous money handling position.
• Must have knowledge of beverages, glassware, and garnishes.
• Work requires effective communication in English, both verbal and written form in a professional manner.
• Must present a neat and professional appearance.
• Work requires interactions with customers, the public and co-workers.
• Work requires teamwork with other staff members.
• Work requires the ability to accurately count money and provide change.
• Work requires schedule flexibility which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
