Job summary

The D Las Vegas is seeking an Apprentice Bartender/Barback to support beverage service in Prohibition Bar. You will help ensure bar supplies, restock garnishes, ice, and glassware, and assist bartenders during service.

You will take orders, prepare drinks, ring up tabs in POS, and maintain cleanliness. Must be able to communicate with guests, follow responsible alcohol service rules, and work weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to obtain all required work cards.
• Ability to read, speak English and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assists with opening and closing duties, restocking the bar with garnishes, straws, napkins, ensuring bartenders have clean towels and glassware, and keeping the bar well stocked with ice, liquor, wine and beer.
• Takes orders, prepares drinks, buses tables, opens tabs and processes payments, especially during peak hours.
• Accurately rings up all orders in the POS system while engaging with guests.
• Adheres to responsible alcohol service standards and can slow or cut off intoxicated guests when necessary.
• Maintains records and reports usage levels to aid in reordering and storage.
