Job summary

Pacific Catch is seeking a Bartender in California to provide first-class service and hospitality. The role requires knowledge of cocktails, beer, and wine, strong guest service skills, and the ability to upsell while presenting the drink menu and answering questions regarding beverages and food pairings.

The position is part-time and hourly, with weekend availability required. Experience in serving and bartending is encouraged, and the team operates with a welcoming, guest-focused culture.

Responsibilities

• Present drink menu, make recommendations, and answer questions about food and beverages; take orders; promptly serve food and drink and check in with Guests.
• Record drink or food orders accurately into POS; process payments and make change.
• Fill in as a server as directed to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant.
• Maintain bar supplies and assist in restocking and replenishing.
• Ensure cleanliness of the bar area and keep bottles/glasses organized for efficient drink prep.

BARTENDER

SCHEDULE

This is a part-time, hourly, non-exempt position. Hours may be different every week and schedules are not set or guaranteed. Weekend availability is a must.

Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Knowledge of cocktails, beer, and wine, including recipes, history, base ingredients, and jiggers
• Ensure a good Guest experience--present drink menu, make recommendations, and answer questions regarding food and beverages; take orders; promptly serve food and drink, and check in with Guests regarding their experience; up-sell whenever possible
• Record drink or food orders accurately and immediately after receipt into POS; Accept and process Guest payment and make the correct change as applicable.
• Fill in as a server as directed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Restaurant
• Maintain inventory and bar supplies; assist in restocking and replenishing
• Ensure the cleanliness of the bar area (counters, tables, equipment, floors, etc.) always
• Maintain bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages. Wash and sterilize glassware as needed

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

• High school education is required; Hospitality or other degrees are a plus
• Minimum 1-year experience in the restaurant/customer service industry preferred
• Candidates with both Serving and Bartending experience encouraged to apply

PHYSICAL

• Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to 5 hours in length
• Must be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 35 pounds
