Job summary

Bamboo Sushi in Seattle is seeking a Bartender to join our fast-paced, guest-facing team. You’ll work with FOH/BOH to ensure timely service, great beverage quality, and warm hospitality.

We offer weekend and evening hours, pay $21.30/hour plus tips up to $46+/hour, plus benefits including health and life insurance, a 401(k), vacation time, employee discounts, and opportunities for advancement and education within the company.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in high-volume guest-facing food service preferred.
• Valid Food Handlers card and MAST certification required.
• Working knowledge of dining room and service standards.

Responsibilities

• Working as a team with FOH and BOH to ensure consistent and timely experience for guests through customer service and food quality
• Actively assisting fellow team members in meeting the needs of guests
• Following company policies, state and food safety and sanitation standards
• Continued education surrounding Japanese cuisine and beverages
• Additional duties may apply specific to each position
• 1 or more years of experience working in high-volume and/or guest-facing food service preferred

Environment

Work is performed primarily in a fast-paced full service restaurant with frequent distractions and loud noises.

Physical

The person in this position needs to occasionally or frequently:

• Maneuver about inside the restaurant/office to access food/beverage items, machinery, and other restaurant equipment
• Operate basic office equipment
• Operate basic restaurant equipment
• Ascend/descend a ladder or stairs to service the machinery, lights, ceiling fans, etc.
• Be able to exchange accurate information while communication with customers
• Be able to distinguish different tastes, i.e., sweet and bitter flavors.
• Work in a noisy/distracting environment
