Job summary

Aloft Seattle Sea-Tac Airport is hiring a Bartender to prepare and provide beer, wine, and other beverages while delivering friendly guest service. You will greet guests, pour drinks, maintain clean bar areas, and support front-of-house staff during shifts, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Must have a current food handler permit.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
• Able to work weekends.

Responsibilities

• Pour and serve beer and wine.
• Follow safe food handling and service practices.
• Greet, engage, and serve guests seated at the bar.
• Clear and clean tables as they are vacated.
• Wipe up spills and keep the bar area clean and stocked.
• Restock items consistently throughout shift.
• Assist servers and other FOH staff with beverage orders.
• Listen and respond to guests’ requests and complaints.
• Prepare and provide beverages as described in guest orders.

General Description:

Responsible for preparing and providing food and beverages, beer, wine, and other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

• Pouring and serving beer and wine
• Follow safe food handling and service practices at all times
• Greeting, engaging, and serving guests seated at the bar
• Clearing and cleaning tables as they are vacated
• Wiping up spills
• Keep the bar area cleaned and well stocked
• Restocking items consistently throughout shift
• Assist server and other Front of House staff with beverage orders
• Listening and responding to guests' requests and complaints

Job Requirements:

• Must have a current food handlers permit
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Previous restaurant service experience is a plus
