Job summary

The Village at Rockville, part of National Lutheran Communities & Services, is seeking a friendly Bartender to join our dining team. You’ll prepare and serve beverages, creating a welcoming atmosphere for residents, families and guests while upholding service standards with professionalism.

This Full-Time role offers shifts days/evenings/weekends, with compensation from $21.00 to $25.00 per hour. Final pay based on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Previous bartending or hospitality experience preferred.
• Knowledge of beverage preparation, wine, beer, and cocktail service.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Responsible alcohol service certification preferred.
• Ability to read and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and service standards.
• Provide exceptional customer service to residents, families, and guests.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar area.
• Verify age requirements and ensure responsible alcohol service practices.
• Process transactions accurately and maintain proper cash-handling procedures.
• Assist with special events, community gatherings, and private functions.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs.
• Follow all health, safety, sanitation, and regulatory requirements.

This position is a Full-Time opportunity with availability to work any shift, including days, evenings, weekends, and special events as needed. In this role, you'll create a welcoming atmosphere for residents, families, and guests while preparing and serving beverages with excellence, professionalism, and genuine hospitality.

Compensation & Schedule

Full-Time | Any Shift

$21.00 - $25.00 per hour

Final compensation is based on the candidate's demonstrated skills, relevant experience, certifications, and overall qualifications.
