Job summary

Lutheran Village at Miller’s Grant is seeking a Part-Time Bartender to join our mission-driven life plan community. This role offers 32-40 hours per pay period, with shifts typically 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm and occasional Sunday 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years bartending experience or formal training preferred and verifiable.
• Must comply with all state and local laws regarding the sale and service of alcoholic beverages (MD).
• TIPS Certified (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with proper garnishes and presentation.
• Arrange bar supplies and glassware for visually appealing displays.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bar/cart area.
• Record all sales, collect payments, and operate the cash register per procedures.
• Prepare and/or sell food items as needed.
• Conduct inventory checks and submit orders to ensure stock levels.
• Adhere to departmental procedures and facility policies.
• Foster teamwork and cross-department collaboration.
• Promote a welcoming, calm atmosphere throughout the department.
• Attend workshops and in-service trainings.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Join Our Team at Lutheran Village at Miller’s Grant!

We are currently seeking a dedicated Part-Time Bartender to join our caring and mission-driven life plan community.

This position is scheduled for 32-40 hours per pay period, with shifts typically running 3:00pm to 8:00pm, and occasional 10:00am to 4:00pm shifts on Sundays. The schedule includes varying weekdays and every other weekend.

As a Bartender, you will provide exceptional customer service by warmly greeting residents and guests, preparing and serving beverages with accuracy and professionalism, and maintaining a clean, organized bar and service area. You will work closely with team members across departments to ensure a positive dining experience while fostering a welcoming and engaging atmosphere for our residents.

What You’ll Do As An LVMG Bartender

• Foster and maintain effective working relationships with team members and other departments to support seamless service.
• Promote a welcoming, positive, and calm atmosphere throughout the department.
• Attend and actively participate in workshops, seminars, and in-service training programs.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

What You’ll Need as a Bartender:

Education | Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years bartending experience or formal training is preferred and should be verifiable.
• Must comply with all state and local laws regarding the sale and service of alcoholic beverages, as required by the State of Maryland.
• TIPS Certified (Preferred)
