Job summary

  • Open wine/champagne and serve per standards.
  • Maintain bar back area and assist service staff as needed.

Compensation: $16.90 per hour plus gratuity

Summary of Position

Responsible for servicing guests and preparing beverage orders and courteously and efficiently serve food and beverages to guests in the food and beverage outlets including the restaurant, bar and outlets. Responsible for maintenance of bar area and support the restaurant food servers, bartenders, and cocktail servers.

Work Hours
  • Will be required to work flexible scheduled shifts based on business needs.
  • Scheduling includes holidays, nights, and weekends depending on hotel events and functions.
Job Requirements
  • Knowledgeable of beverages, recipes and correct glassware and garnishes.
  • Knowledgeable and ensure compliance of all state liquor regulations
  • Understand the mission, vision, and goals of the hotel.
  • Must be able to prioritize and work efficiently with limited supervision.
  • Must be detail oriented and able to multi-task efficiently.
  • Must be able to speak and understand and communicate the primary language(s) used in the workplace.

  • Must have the ability to push, pull bend, squat and lift on a regular basis.

Job Responsibilities
  • Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for bar and restaurants, in accordance with service standards
  • Anticipate Guests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all Guests, making recommendations from guests’ preferences.
  • Take Guests’ food and beverage orders, utilizing suggestive selling techniques.
  • Complete opening duties as assigned, including check quality and quantity of all bar stock and supplies using checklist.
  • Requisition all necessary supplies and transport from storeroom to bar.
  • Set bar according to service standards.
  • Set up all condiments (garnishes, juices, etc.) and beverages according to standards.
  • Prepare all fresh fruit garnishes according to service standards.
  • Ensure a sufficient supply of all flatware, glassware, and chinaware for service.
  • Ensure cleanliness and condition of assigned station and service areas.
  • Set up side stations with supplies and equipment.
  • Record orders of guests into the point-of-sale system and receive payment following service procedures.
  • Adhere to payment, cash handling and credit policies.
  • Open wine/champagne bottles and serve in accordance with service standards.
  • Retrieve food orders from kitchen.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned station and service areas.
  • Guide the activities of the bar back to ensure optimum service to Guests.
  • Remove soiled wares from the bar. Clean and wipe down the bar immediately after the Guest departs.
  • Collect and report tips at the end of the assigned shift.
  • Complete closing duties and reports as assigned and leave duty after reporting to the supervisor or Manager on Duty.
  • Must be RBS Certified and Food Safety certified as required.
  • Follow 4 Keys service standards, standard operation procedures, and safety standards.
  • Follow all appropriate policies and procedures while constantly striving to improve all standards of operations.
  • Follow safety and security procedures.
  • Work cohesively with co‑workers and all departments as part of a team.
  • Adhere to attendance and reliability standards.
  • Follow all additional duties as assigned by management.
Education

High School or better.

Experience

1 year: Experience as barback or bartender in hotel or restaurant
