Job summary

The Classic Club in Palm Desert, CA is seeking a part-time bartender for a seasonal role. You will stock, mix and serve beverages, assist in menu development, and ensure guest satisfaction in a fast-paced property environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 1–3 months of related experience. Fluency in English and experience with POS systems like POSITOUCH or MICROS are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Experience with POS systems preferred: POSITOUCH and MICROS.
  • Must meet state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages.

Responsibilities

  • Stocks bar, mixes and serves alcoholic beverages, assists in cost control, inventory and maintains inventory records.
  • Assists with creation of seasonal cocktails and development of menu.
  • Assists with Social Media schedule and content creation.
  • Maintains inventory control and communicates needs to management.
  • Operates POS system and handles cash transactions.
  • Serves catered parties from service or portable bars.

The Classic Club, located in Palm Desert, CA, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a part-time Bartender! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast‑paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part ofTroon, you’ll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Pay Range:

$16.90 - $17.90 per hour (Based on Experience)

General Purpose:

Makesand serves guests delicious beveragesin accordance withestablishedstandards and with hospitality and professionalism.Creates memorable dining experiences through personalized and genuine interactions. This is a seasonal position with an expected duration of six months or less.

  • Stocks bar, mixes and serves alcoholic beverages, assists in cost control, inventory and maintains inventory records.
  • Assists department leaders with creation of seasonal cocktails and development of menu.
  • Assists department leaders with Social Media schedule and creation of content.
  • Maintains inventory control through conscientious use and careful monitoring of all food and beverage products. Communicates with management in a timely manner when supplies are needed.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable state liquor laws and standard operating procedures provided by the management.
  • Communicates guest requests and concerns to the Department Manager.
  • Performs opening and closing duties which include, but are not limited to inventory, cash control, cleaning, and restocking.
  • Accountable for checks and cash transactions. Utilizes Point of Sales System.
  • Reviews banquet schedule for changes, calendar of events, and special events.
  • Serve catered parties from service or portable bars.
  • On occasion will serve meals to guests.
  • Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Performs other duties asrequired.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Requirements:
  • Experience in restaurant point-of-sale (POS) systems (e.g.POSITOUCH and MICROS)
Physical Demands:

Frequently stands, walks, talks, hears, and uses hands.

Regularly reaches with hands and arms.

Occasionally climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls, crouches; tastes, smells and sits.

Frequently lifts up to 25 pounds.

Occasionally may lift up to 50 pounds.

Certificates/Licenses:
  • ServSafeCertified (Food & Alcohol) or TIPS equivalent.
Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:
  • Knowledge of wine, spirits, beer and current trends in industry and marketplace.
  • Possesses the knowledge of cocktail recipes.
  • Professional and courteous demeanor.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to company values.
  • Exceptional personal hygiene and positive representation of the organization to Troon employees, clients and vendors.
  • Fluent in English speaking, writing and understanding.
  • Must meet state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages.
