Job summary

The Classic Club, a Troon Golf property in Palm Desert, CA, is seeking a part-time Busser for a seasonal assignment of about six months. You will support servers, prepare the dining area, stock supplies, and keep stations clean and organized while engaging with guests in a friendly, professional manner.

Experience is not required, though prior restaurant work helps. Physical tasks include lifting up to 50 pounds, standing and walking throughout shifts, with a focus on safety and cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Meets state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages.
• Ability to read and speak English may be required to perform duties.

Responsibilities

• Assists servers in providing efficient service by keeping the room neat and clean.
• Prepares dining room for guests by setting tables and stocking supplies.
• Fills and refills water glasses and clears unused place settings.
• Clears dishes and resets tables after guests leave.
• Assists the server when needed and handles tray service.
• Keeps workstations stocked and maintains cleanliness and safety.
• Regular and reliable attendance; performs other duties as required.

Job description

The Classic Club, located in Palm Desert, CA, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a part-time Busser! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast‑paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part ofTroon, you’ll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Pay Range:

$16.90 - $18.00 per hour (Depending on Experience)

General Purpose:

Assistsservers in providing efficient service by keeping the room neat and clean. Creates memorable dining experiences through personalized and genuine interactions. This is a seasonal position with an expected duration of six months or less.

• Assures that all material used by server is clean and ready for daily operation.
• Prepares dining room for guests by setting tables and stocking all necessary supplies prior to the beginning of service.
• Fills and refills water glasses and removes any place settings not being used.
• Clears dishes located in front of guest upon completion of course.
• Clears and resets tables when guests leave, to include but not limited to changes tablecloth, brushes chairs, places chairs at table, replaces silverware and glassware, and replaces napkins.
• Assists the server when needed.
• Practices proper tray service for all food and beverage service.
• Keeps workstations well stocked of items and ingredients.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary bussing station.
• Clean workstations, takes out trash, and vacuums the dining room.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties asrequired.

Preferred Requirements:

Previousexperience in a restaurant.

Physical Demands:

• Frequently stands, walks, talks and hears.
• Frequently uses hands. Regularly reaches with arms and hands.
• Occasionally climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls, crouches, tastes or smells.
• Frequently lifts up to 50 pounds.

Occasionally works in wet or humid conditions (non-weather); may come into contact with fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals.

The noise level is moderate.

Certificates/Licenses:

• ServSafeCertified (Food Handler & Alcohol) or TIPS equivalent.

Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:

• Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English).
