Job summary

Hilton Garden Inn Tacoma Downtown is seeking an evening Bartender to prepare and serve beer, wine, and other beverages while ensuring guest satisfaction. You will greet guests, maintain a clean bar area, and help with front-of-house tasks during shifts in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires strong hospitality skills, the ability to stand for long periods, and a current food handlers permit. Prior restaurant experience is a plus, with parking available for staff.

Qualifications

• Must have a current food handlers permit.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Previous restaurant service experience is a plus.
• Must be able to lift and carry 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Pour beer and wine and provide beverages to guests.
• Follow safe food handling and service practices at all times.
• Greet, engage, and serve guests seated at the bar.
• Clear and clean tables as vacated; wipe spills and keep bar area clean and stocked.
• Restock items consistently throughout shift.
• Assist servers and Front of House staff with beverage orders.
• Respond to guests’ requests and address complaints.
• May assist with cooking when needed.

General Description:

Responsible for preparing and providing food and beverages, beer, wine, and other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

• Pouring and serving beer and wine
• Follow safe food handling and service practices at all times
• Greeting, engaging, and serving guests seated at the bar
• Clearing and cleaning tables as they are vacated
• Wiping up spills
• Keep the bar area cleaned and well stocked
• Restocking items consistently throughout shift
• Assist server and other Front of House staff with beverage orders
• Listening and responding to guests' requests and complaints
• May also be asked to assist with cooking

Job Requirements:
