Job summary

Sorrel River Ranch Resort & Spa in Moab, Utah seeks a Bartender to prepare and serve food and beverages in a fast-paced environment. Position Overview

To serve beverages and/or food to the guests in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner, resulting in guest satisfaction. Also, to prepare beverages for other servers to supply guests with dining in the restaurant.

Position Responsibilities
  • Maintains proper and adequate set‑up of the bar daily. This includes requisitioning and stocking of all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments and produce based on projections from the daily functions sheet
  • Responsible for maintaining stock, cutting, and storing all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables daily to ensure product quality
  • Greetings guests in a courteous and friendly manner, promotes and documents orders for drinks. Mixes, garnishes and presents drinks using standard ingredient recipes and practicing prudent portion control
  • Abide by all State, Federal and Corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages
  • Inputs orders into a register at the point of sale and creates a check for each guest, including those served by other servers, to maintain accountability of all beverages served
  • Verifies validity of charges, records charges, and ensures vouchers are properly executed, to balance all money
  • Locks up and stores all beverage, food, and other equipment items
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis
  • Perform any other job‑related duties as assigned
Education/Experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Bartending experience in a hotel or restaurant
  • General knowledge of liquors and wines
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years old
  • Experience upholding service and standards in a fine dining restaurant
  • Food Handlers & Alcohol Awareness Certificate required
  • TOAST POS experience
  • Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Be able to use good judgement, work independently in a multi‑task position
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
