We are seeking a guest-oriented, friendly, and dependable individual to join our team as a Bartender at the Residence Inn in King of Prussia, PA!

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Welcome and greet all guests in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner.
  • Provide exceptional guest service and create a welcoming and enjoyable experience for all guests.
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and hotel standards.
  • Take guest orders accurately and efficiently while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Maintain knowledge of available beverages, menu items, ingredients, and daily specials.
  • Recommend beverages and menu items based on guest preferences and answer questions regarding available selections.
  • Prepare garnishes, glassware, mixers, and other bar supplies before and during service.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked bar area throughout the shift.
  • Ensure the bar, tables, counters, equipment, and surrounding areas are cleaned and sanitized regularly.
  • Verify identification and comply with all applicable laws and company policies regarding the service of alcoholic beverages.
  • Refuse service to guests who are underage or appear intoxicated, in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
  • Operate the point-of-sale system accurately and process guest checks, cash, credit cards, and other forms of payment according to established procedures.
  • Maintain accurate cash handling and follow all hotel policies regarding cash, credit, and financial transactions.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate low-stock items or supply needs to management.
  • Assist with receiving, storing, and organizing beverage and bar supplies as needed.
  • Maintain proper portion control to minimize waste and ensure consistency.
  • Follow proper procedures for handling food, beverages, glassware, and bar equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with guests, servers, kitchen staff, Front Desk, Management, and other hotel departments.
  • Assist with setting up and breaking down the bar area for events, functions, and daily operations.
  • Monitor the bar area to ensure guest safety and maintain a professional and welcoming environment.
  • Address guest concerns and complaints promptly and professionally, involving management when necessary.
  • Follow all health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol-service regulations.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude at all times.
  • Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and properly stocked throughout the shift.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures and consistently exemplify company values in all interactions.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous bartending, restaurant, hotel, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred.
  • Previous experience in a hotel or full-service bar environment is preferred.
  • Must meet all applicable legal requirements for serving alcoholic beverages.
  • Responsible alcohol service certification preferred or required as applicable.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Regularly stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Frequently use hands and fingers to prepare beverages, handle glassware, operate equipment, and process transactions.
  • Frequently reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally bend, kneel, crouch, and reach to retrieve supplies.
  • Ability to lift and carry beverage cases, boxes, kegs, supplies, and other items as needed.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull bar equipment, carts, and supplies.
  • Must have close and distance vision, color vision, and focus ability.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment for extended periods.
  • Ability to safely handle glassware, bar equipment, cleaning products, and other materials.
  • Ability to remain on feet and actively perform job duties throughout the shift.
