Job summary

Loews Philadelphia Hotel is seeking a proactive Barback to support the bar team in a fast-paced environment within the historic PSFS building in Center City, Philadelphia. You will replenish supplies, assist bartenders, and maintain a clean, organized bar area to ensure seamless guest service.

Ideal candidates are dependable, organized, and collaborative, with a guest-focused mindset and flexibility for varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

  • Evidence of experience in bar or restaurant setting.
  • Ability to lift 75+ pounds.
  • Continual bending, lifting, carrying and stooping.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
  • Flexible to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Replenish and restock the bar with liquor, beer, wine, ice, glassware, garnishes, and other supplies throughout the shift.
  • Assist bartenders with setting up and breaking down the bar before and after shifts or events.
  • Prepare garnishes such as lemon, lime, and orange wedges, as well as other drink essentials.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the bar area by washing and drying glassware and surfaces.
  • Keep the bar organized and ensure tools and supplies are accessible.
  • Clear dirty glasses and empty drinkware from guest tables and bar counters.
  • Monitor stock levels and alert staff when supplies are low.
  • Provide friendly assistance to guests with basic requests.
  • Support bartenders during peak hours to ensure timely service.
  • Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for beverage handling.
  • Ensure compliance with alcohol laws and regulations.
  • Attend mandatory trainings and schedule variations as needed.

  • Monitor stock levels and alert bartenders or management when supplies are running low.
  • Provide friendly assistance to guests with basic requests or questions.
  • Support bartenders during peak hours to ensure timely delivery of beverages.
  • Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for beverage handling and bar cleanliness.
  • Ensure compliance with alcohol laws and regulations.
  • Regular attendance in conformance with standards.
  • May be required to work varying schedules to reflect business needs.
  • Required to attend all mandatory training sessions and meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Your Qualifications Include:
