  • Restock drinks and supplies; maintain bar cleanliness and order.
  • Store unused drink items per health codes and rotate stock.
  • Follow hotel procedures to order below-par items and ensure availability.
  • Know hotel facilities and local information to assist guests.

The Bartender will prepare the bar for opening, also prepare beverages and or serve food in a timely manner, and in accordance with the hotel’s policies/procedures and the brands standard to achieve and maintain guest satisfaction, product quality, and safety and security while embracing and emulation of the values of the company culture and guiding principles.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and set-up bar items, all liquors, mixers, ice, garnishes, glassware, and supplies.

Greet and acknowledge guests as they arrive. Must be able to initiate and engage in conversation with guests.

Monitor guest behavior and guest alcohol consumption to determine when alcohol service to the guest should cease, notify management of incidents involving excessive alcohol consumption or impaired condition of guests.

Check identification whenever the age of a guest requesting an alcoholic beverage service is questionable.

Restock drink items and other supplies.

Maintain the cleanliness of the equipment, bar area, keeping it orderly.

Properly store all unused drink, food items and supplies in accordance with health codes.

Follow hotel operational procedures to ensure orders are placed for items that are below par levels

Receive supplies, date and rotate stock.

Acquires a working knowledge of hotel, in-house facilities, and local information to respond to guest questions in these areas as required.

Informs manager of any guest dissatisfaction.

Requirements:

Working in other areas of the hotel when needed to assist operations.

Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance.

Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position.

Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other company associates to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate.

Requests assistance as needed.

Requires strong attention to detail.

Ability to communicate to guests and team members verbally or in written form.

At all times projects a favorable image of the Hotel to the public.

Must have open availability work weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

Move, transport, put, install, remove, replace, position, place, and transfer.

Stand for extended periods of time.

Ability to bend, lift, kneel, and be in motion for the full day.

Must be able to move continuously during work hours and able to lift and/or carry 50 pounds.
