Job summary

Specialty Restaurants is hiring a bartender for Odyssey Restaurant to deliver exceptional service and craft beverages in a high-energy setting. You will engage guests, showcase whiskey knowledge, and maintain a spotless bar while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates bring 2+ years of bartending experience, strong communication, and a passion for mixology. Evening/weekend availability and TIPS certification are preferred, with growth opportunities within the company.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a diverse range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and flair.


• Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a memorable and enjoyable experience.


• Demonstrate expert knowledge of whiskey varieties, including origins, flavor profiles, and pairing suggestions.


• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including stocking inventory and managing supplies.


• Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring responsible service of alcohol at all times.


• Collaborate with colleagues to uphold Odyssey's reputation for excellence and hospitality.


• Provide assistance to other team members and perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 2 or more years of experience as a bartender in a high-volume establishment


• Strong knowledge of whiskey and other spirits, with a passion for mixology.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.


• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering exceptional service.


• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.


• TIPS or similar certification (can obtain upon hire)

Physical Demands

• Regular lifting, moving and carrying of food items, furniture, garbage etc. weighing up to 30 pounds across the restaurant


• Regular and prolonged standing and walking inside and outside the restaurant during a 6-8 hour shift with appropriate breaks


• Regular ascending/descending stairs


• Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers


• Frequent use of hand to finger motions, handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms
