Job summary

Hilton Garden Inn Durham is seeking an energetic bartender to mix and serve drinks, verify age requirements, and engage guests with knowledge of pairings and flavors. You'll handle payments, monitor inventory, maintain bar cleanliness, and contribute to a safe, friendly, and efficient service environment in our team-oriented hospitality setting.

Responsibilities

• Bartenders mix and serve drinks to customers.
• Verify age requirements and ensure responsible service of alcohol.
• Know alcohol pairing and taste profiles; prepare traditional and classy drinks.
• Process payments and manage cash handling.
• Monitor and manage bar inventory and maintain cleanliness of supplies.

Bartenders work directly with customers by mixing and serving drink orders. Their responsibilities include verifying age requirements, knowing alcohol pairing and tastes, knowing how to make traditional and classy drinks, processing payments, managing inventory, and cleaning bar supplies.

Rate of Pay $14.00-$15.00/hour

Skills Required

• Provide high-level customer service, communicate effectively with guests and team members, follow instructions, ability to learn quickly, pay attention to detail, and maintain composure when working under pressure.

Experience / Education

• Previous bartending experience preferred; must be of legal age in order to serve alcohol, per state law; high school diploma and/or equivalent work experience; TIPS certified preferred; Allergy Awareness training helpful.
