Job summary

Raintree Country Club in Charlotte, NC is seeking a part-time bartender for our adults-only bar. You will mix drinks, serve at the bar and occasionally at tables, and assist during events and catered parties.

The role requires knowledge of cocktails and wine, plus at least one year of bartending experience or training. Employment includes benefits and opportunities to grow within a Troon-managed property.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Stock the bar, mix and serve alcoholic beverages, assist in cost control and inventory.
• Maintain inventory records and communicate needs to management.
• Ensure compliance with state liquor laws and SOPs.
• Communicate guest requests to the department manager.
• Open/close duties including inventory, cash control, cleaning, and restocking.
• Use the Point of Sale system to process checks and transactions.
• Review banquet schedules and prep for events.
• Serve catered parties from service or portable bars.
• Occasionally serve meals to guests.
• Follow safe work practices in performance of duties.

Raintree Country Club, located in Charlotte, NC, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a part-time Bartender! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Summary

We are hiring for our adults-only bar. With two to three employees working at a time, this is not a strictly behind-the-bar position — bartenders in this role are expected to serve tables in the bar area in addition to making drinks. Our facilities also host many events that require dedicated bartenders, with those shifts being more bartending-specific.

Schedule

General shifts are 10:30am–4pm and 4pm–10pm.

Key Responsibilities

• Stocks the bar, mixes and serves alcoholic beverages, assists in cost control, inventory, and maintaining inventory records.
• Maintains inventory control through conscientious use and careful monitoring of all food and beverage products; communicates with management in a timely manner when supplies are needed.
• Ensures compliance with applicable state liquor laws and standard operating procedures provided by management.
• Communicates guest requests and concerns to the department manager.
• Performs opening and closing duties which include, but are not limited to: inventory, cash control, cleaning, and restocking.
• Maintains accountability for checks and cash transactions. Utilizes the Point of Sale system.
• Reviews the banquet schedule for changes, calendar of events, and special events.
• Serves catered parties from service or portable bars.
• Occasionally serves meals to guests.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Performs other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age to meet state age requirements to serve alcohol.

Knowledge/Skill

• Knowledge of cocktail recipes and wine varieties.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one year of bartending experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates/Licenses

• Alcohol Awareness Training.
