Job summary

Delaware North Sportservice at American Family Field in Milwaukee, WI is hiring Server Assistants for Barrel Yard Restaurant. You will demonstrate strong time management, set priorities, and respond to changing needs in a busy dining room.

This is a tipped, year-round role with weekly pay. Duties include checking in with management, attending pre-shift briefings, assisting with running food and service, maintaining cleanliness, resetting tables, and supporting bartenders and servers as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience or training as a Runner, Bar Back or Busser in a high-volume dining setting.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Open to Seasonal game day shifts.

Responsibilities

• Check in with management upon arrival for daily duties and station assignments.
• Attend pre-shift briefing and note relevant information for service and guest notes.
• May assist with running food and beverages to tables.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the dining room and equipment.
• Reset tables after guests depart and manage proper disposal of trash.
• Assist bartenders and servers with setup and service as needed.

The opportunity

Delaware North Sportservice is hiring Server Assistants to join our Barrel Yard Restaurant at American Family Field in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In this position, you will demonstrate excellent time management skills as well as the ability to set priorities and respond to changing needs within the dining room. Barrel Yard Restaurant is open year round.

Please note this is a tipped position, the hourly minimum pay listed doesn’t include any potential tipped earnings.

$8.00 - $8.00 / hour

What will you do?

• Checkinwith management upon arrival for daily duties and station assignments.
• Attend pre-shiftbriefing, taking note of relevantinformationincluding service, food and beverage, and guest notes.
• Mayassistwith running food/beverages to tables.
• Maintaincleanliness and sanitation of the dining roomincluding all equipment, utensils, tables, chairs, service stations, floors, and windows.
• Remove dirty dishes, silverware, and empty glasses from guest tables after guestsdepart. Return dirty dishes, silverware,glasswareand linen to dish washing area, sortingappropriatelyand placing theminthe assigned area for proper disposition.
• Reset tables once guests leave according to floor plan orinstructions from management.
• Remove andempty trash as needed.
• Seasonal game day position.
• Assistbartenders with bar set up, maintenance & service.
• Assistservers with dining room set up, maintenance & service.

More about you

• Experience or training as a Runner, Bar Back or Busser with a similar style of dining, capacity, and volume is preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours,including nights, weekends, and holidaysinaddition to normal business hours, as needed.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Mustbe at least 18 years old.
• Minimum 4 day availability (10am start times on weekdays and 3-5p start time on weeknights)
• Open on weekends

Physical requirements

• Constant standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive motions.
• Ability to maneuver between tables and around corners.
• Ability to lift, balance and move large food trays, weighing up to 35 pounds, for set-up, service, and clean-up.
• Visual acuity and hearing to take orders and prepare checks.
• Ability to stand or walk for the entire length ofshift;mayinclude walking up and down stairs.
