Job summary

Delaware North Sportservice at American Family Field in Milwaukee, Wisconsin is hiring Servers to join our Barrel Yard Restaurant team. As a Server, you will be the face of our restaurant and provide excellent service to guests in a year-round venue.

Please note this is a tipped position with base pay of $5.25/hour; tips may supplement earnings. You will greet guests, take orders, enter them into the POS, serve beverages, and collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure a great guest

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience as a server in a high-volume environment.
• Experience in credit card processing required.
• Previous experience with a point-of-sale system in service or hospitality environment preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Minimum 4 day availability (10am start times on weekdays and 3-5p start time on weeknights).
• Open on weekends.

Responsibilities

• Greets guests, provides menus, communicates restaurant specials, answers questions, takes orders, serves items, and attends to guests throughout their visit.
• Accurately enters orders into POS so kitchen and bar can prepare items.
• Serves alcohol beverages responsibly, requests identification, and adheres to service policies.
• Prepares and delivers checks, processes payments.
• Collaborates with other servers and kitchen/bar staff.
• Performs opening/closing/cleaning and side work duties.
• Ensures equipment and spaces are clean, sanitized, and organized.

The opportunity

Delaware North Sportservice is hiring Servers to join our Barrel Yard Restaurant team at American Family Field in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. As a Server, you will be the face of our restaurant and play a critical role in providing excellent service to our guests. Barrel Yard is a year round restaurant.

Please note this is a tipped position, the hourly minimum pay listed doesn’t include any potential tipped earnings.

Pay

$5.25 - $5.25 / hour

What will you do?

• Greets guests, provides menus, clearly communicates restaurant specials, answers questions about menu items, collects food and beverage orders, serves items ordered, and attends to guests need throughout their visit. Beer knowledge & etiquette a plus but not required.
• Accurately enters orders into point-of-sale system so that kitchen staff can prepare food and bar staff can prepare drinks, as needed.
• Serves alcohol beverages responsibly, requests identification, and adheres to all alcohol service policies and procedures.
• Prepares and delivers check to guests at table and accepts and processes payment.
• Collaborate with other restaurant servers and kitchen and bar staff.
• Performs opening, closing, cleaning, and side work duties, as assigned.
• Ensures all equipment and workspaces are clean, sanitized, organized, and working properly.
• Must be punctual, well-groomed and in proper uniform for all scheduled shifts.

More about you

Physical requirements

• Constant standing, walking, bending, reaching and repetitive motions.
• Ability to maneuver between tables and around corners.
• Ability to lift, balance and move large food trays, weighing up to 35 lbs.
• Visual acuity and hearing sufficient to take orders and prepare checks.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds for set-up, service and clean-up.
• Ability to stand or walk for entire length of shift; may include walking up and down stairs.
