Job summary

Delaware North Sportservice is hiring Hosts for the Barrel Yard Restaurant at American Family Field in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. As a Host, you will welcome guests, manage the host station, and seat guests according to the seating chart and guest preferences.

The role offers weekly pay, comprehensive benefits, and flexible schedules. You will work mostly evenings and weekends, with a focus on delivering excellent guest experiences in a fast-paced stadium setting.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Prior guest service experience preferred.
• Available for 4 days per week with evenings/weekends.
• Open on weekends.

Responsibilities

• Review floor plan and reservation book daily; create a seating chart.
• Set up the host station according to the checklist.
• Greet guests and seat them at tables or in waiting areas.
• Seat guests according to the seating chart, server rotation, and guest preference and provides guests with menus.
• Maintain control of the seating and wait times.
• Clean and maintain the host station; contribute to the cleanliness of the dining and bar areas.
• Inspect dining and serving areas to ensure cleanliness and proper setup.
• Answer any guest questions regarding service, and provide general assistance for guests and employees.
• Speak with guests to ensure satisfaction with food and service, respond to complaints and notifies management, and thank guests as they are leaving.
• Assisting with bussing, clearing, and cleaning tables.
• Assisting with running food as needed.
• Frequently checking bathrooms for cleanliness, and restocking toilet paper rolls, paper towel rolls, and or soap dispensers.
• Answer restaurant telephone lines during assigned hours of operation.

$15.00 - $20.00 / hour

More About You

• Prior experience in a guest service environment is preferred.
• Attentive and detailed oriented.
• Ability to maintain a high energy level in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Capable of performing specified procedures and following instructions.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Minimum 4 day availability (10am start times on weekdays and 3-5p start time on weeknights)
• Open on weekends

Physical Requirements

• Ability to remain on feet for the entire length of shift.
• Ability to maneuver between tables and around corners.
• Frequent walking, bending, lifting, reaching, and stretching.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds.
• Visual acuity and hearing ability are sufficient to read the seating chart and communicate with guests.
