Job summary

Navy Life PNW is seeking a frontline food service assistant to support CNIC MWR operations at NBK Bangor, WA. You will handle basic food preparation, cash transactions, and customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include following instructions, maintaining hygiene, and operating coffee machines while ensuring a safe and welcoming experience for service members and families. Prior work in food service is a plus.

Qualifications

• Understanding of basic food handling techniques.
• Ability to follow oral instructions and perform routine manual tasks involving few steps.
• Must use judgment in sequencing tasks and be able to concentrate on uniform individual portions and to avoid distraction when serving several people at a time.
• Must have an understanding of personal hygiene standards and simple food handling techniques.
• Knowledge of basic arithmetic and cash handling techniques.
• Must have working knowledge and cleaning maintenance of the coffee machines.
• Exercise tact, good manners and courtesy when serving and assisting both customers and employees.

Support the Military's Quality of Life programs! The Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) department of Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC) provides fitness, recreation, lodging and food and beverage programs for service members, their families, retired military and civilian employees. This position is assigned to the Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF) Community Recreation, and Deployed Support Branch; Fleet Readiness; Commander, Navy Installations command (CNIC); NBK Bangor.
