Responsibilities

• Create an environment that makes customers feel welcome and valued by answering questions about products in the department and store.
• Know products in the department and respond to questions with helpful product suggestions.
• Collaborate with teammates to achieve store goals.
• Prepare beverage selections to recipes and standards and handle transactions per company practices.
• Offer product samples and inform customers of coffee shop specials.
• Ensure fresh products and correct portions to prevent shrink.
• Recommend coffee shop items to meet customer needs.
• Use all coffee shop equipment following guidelines and inventory ingredients accordingly.
• Check product quality and sell-by dates and take action as needed.
• Operate espresso machines, blenders, scales, steamer and other equipment.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Report ordering/shipping discrepancies to management.
• Stay current with ads and promotions.
• Follow safety procedures and report hazards to management.
