Responsibilities

• Create an environment where customers feel welcome and appreciated by answering questions about products in the department and store.
• Maintain knowledge of products and respond to questions with product suggestions.
• Collaborate with team to promote teamwork and achieve store goals.
• Prepare beverages to recipe standards and handle transactions following company practices.
• Offer product samples and inform customers of coffee shop specials.
• Ensure customers receive fresh products and correct portions to prevent shrink.
• Recommend coffee shop items to meet customer needs.
• Operate equipment in coffee shop (refrigerators, freezers, slicers, ovens) and handle inventory.
• Check product quality and review sell-by dates to take action as needed.
• Use kitchen equipment and espresso machine properly for preparation.
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
• Report discrepancies in product ordering/shipping to the department manager.
• Stay current with ads and promotions.
• Follow safety procedures and report unsafe conditions to management.
• Inspect equipment and report items needing repair.
• Report safety risks or illegal activity to management.
• Work cooperatively in high-paced or stressful environments.
• Manage conflicts in a professional manner.
• Maintain honesty and integrity with customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek help to resolve issues.
• Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and/or older adults.
