Responsibilities

• Gain knowledge of products sold and respond to questions with suggestions.

• Prepare beverage selections per recipes and standards; handle transactions per company practices.
• Offer product samples and inform customers of coffee shop specials.
• Provide customers with fresh products and correct portions to prevent shrink.
• Recommend coffee shop items to meet customer needs.
• Use coffee shop equipment and inventory ingredients per guidelines.
• Check product quality and review sell-by dates; take appropriate action.
• Properly use kitchen equipment including espresso machine, blender, scale and steamer.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Report ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Stay current with ads and promotions.
• Reinforce safety programs and follow food safety regulations.
• Inspect equipment and report repairs needed.
• Report accidents and safety risks to store management.
• Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment.
• Manage conflicts in a professional manner.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek help to resolve issues.
• Provide support for interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
