Job summary

Bottega Louie Restaurant, Gourmet Market & Patisserie in Los Angeles is hiring a full-time Barista to craft all coffees and teas for the market and café, maintain the register, handle cash, and ensure friendly, efficient service.

This role requires 40 hours per week, ability to lift 35 lbs, stand for extended periods, and a commitment to premium guest experiences. Starting pay is $18.42 per hour plus tips, with health benefits and paid sick leave.

Barista Responsibilities

Include but not limited to:

• Maintain the register and properly handle cash
• Enter tips, place orders accurately, and keep a balanced drawer
• Work closely with other staff to create a steady flow of service
• Communicate any needs and stay close to the register
• Create all of Bottega Louie’s coffees and teas for the market and café
• Responsible for abiding by Bottega Louie recipe standards, sanitation standards, and maintaining speed of service
• Barista makes every drink with care and to the guests’ likings
• Keeps a well stocked and organized work station and communicates any needs to utility or a manager
• Keep a clean and well stocked market
• Take out the trash, retrieve products, and restock
• Properly store and rotate macrons
• Assist with filling macaron trays and organizing macaron bins
• Accurately describe all pastries and upsell to guests
• Package all pastries for guests
• Consolidate pastries and stock as needed

Compensation

• Beginning at $18.42/hr + Tips
• Tip pool participation subject to California Labor Code & Fair Labor & Standards Act

• 48 Hours Paid Sick Leave per year (Accrues at a rate of 1 hour for every 30 hours worked subject to an 80 hour cap)
