Responsibilities

• Create an environment that makes customers feel welcome and valued by answering questions regarding products in the department and store.
• Gain knowledge of products and respond to questions with recommendations.
• Collaborate with associates to promote teamwork and achieve store goals.
• Prepare beverage selections to recipe and standards and complete transactions using company best practices.
• Offer product samples and inform customers of coffee shop specials.
• Provide fresh products in correct portion sizes to prevent shrink.
• Recommend coffee shop items to meet customer needs.
• Use equipment in coffee shop per guidelines; label and inventory ingredients.
• Check product quality and review sell-by dates.
• Properly use kitchen equipment including espresso machines and blenders and steamer.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Report ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Stay current with present, future, seasonal and special ads.
• Follow safety procedures and report unsafe conditions or incidents.
• Inspect equipment and report repairs.
• Report accidents or safety risks to store management.
• Manage conflict calmly and cooperatively.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve customer issues.
• Provide support interacting with minors, individuals with special needs, and/or older adults.
• Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
