Job summary

Hyatt Regency Westlake in Westlake Village, CA, is seeking a friendly Barista / Coffee Shop Attendant to deliver exceptional guest experiences by crafting specialty coffee drinks, assisting guests with questions, and promoting merchandise. You will maintain a clean, organized coffee shop, handle cash and POS transactions, restock displays, follow recipes, and support hotel operations.

The role requires reliability, good communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced café

Qualifications

• Requires strong customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask in a busy café environment.
• Attention to detail in beverage prep, merchandising, and cash handling.
• Reliable and punctual, especially for opening/closing.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and provide information about available food, beverages, merchandise, and hotel amenities.
• Prepare specialty coffee drinks following established recipes and operate coffee shop equipment safely.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the coffee shop, including equipment, displays, and floors, according to SOPs.
• Restock and refresh merchandise and food displays to ensure an inviting presentation.
• Open and close the coffee shop on time, following proper setup and closing procedures.
• Process all sales through the Micros system, ensuring accurate cash handling and adherence to accounting procedures.
• Monitor inventory levels, communicate restocking needs, and assist management with ordering.
• Secure all cash and deposits per hotel and company policies.
• Comply with all company policies, procedures, and service standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
