Job summary

Westmont Hospitality Group in Seattle is seeking a Barista to prepare and serve high-quality coffee, tea, and light food items while delivering friendly guest service. You will operate beverage equipment and POS systems, maintain knowledge of offerings, and collaborate with team members to ensure a welcoming guest experience.

Qualifications

• Previous barista or hospitality experience preferred.
• Knowledge of coffee preparation and espresso beverages.
• Strong guest service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests professionally, take orders, and provide friendly, efficient, and attentive service.
• Prepare and serve coffee, espresso, tea, specialty beverages, and food items according to established recipes and guest preferences.
• Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, ingredients, promotions, and specials to assist guests with questions and recommendations.
• Operate beverage equipment and POS systems, accurately processing orders, payments, and guest transactions.
• Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked service areas, equipment, and workstations.
• Follow proper food handling, storage, sanitation, and safety procedures in accordance with hotel standards and applicable regulations.
• Monitor inventory, replenish supplies, and complete assigned opening and closing duties.
• Respond professionally to guest requests and concerns, escalating issues to management when necessary.
• Assist with food service and other Food & Beverage operations as needed including bussing tables during breakfast service and downtime.
• Work collaboratively with team members to maintain efficient operations and exceptional guest service.
• Comply with hotel policies, safety procedures, and applicable food and alcohol service regulations.
• Maintain flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays, based on business needs.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
