Job summary

Metz Culinary Management at ULH Hospital is seeking an experienced Barista to join our team for a morning shift.

You will craft handcrafted coffee and tea beverages, educate guests on the menu, and keep the station stocked and clean while delivering friendly, fast service in a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Previous Barista experience required.
• Knowledge of how brewing equipment operates.
• SERV Safe Certification is required.
• Ability to bend, twist, squat, reach, crawl, push/pull, and stand for long periods.
• Ability to carry 50 lbs on a consistent basis.
• Reading, writing, oral proficiency, and basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• This position is responsible for preparing, stocking, and maintaining your station continuously throughout the day.
• Greets guests determining their coffee interests and needs.
• Educates guests by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu and answering questions.
• Preparing and serving a variety of coffee drinks following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques along with serving pastries, sandwiches, and other food items.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations.
• Use of cash register, accurate cash handling and payment processing.
• Work as a team with others, train new team members, and cross train in other departments.
• Complete weekly inventory and order list.
• Clean and maintain all equipment continuously.
• Perform any other tasks as requested by Operations Manager.

Shift: 6:00am-12:00pm

Pay Rate: $16.50 to $17.00 an hour based on previous exp.
