Job summary

WakeMed Health & Hospitals in Cary, NC seeks a Bariatrics and General Surgery PA or NP/RNFA for a rotating schedule including weekends. The incumbent will work under Medical Director and APP Manager, providing inpatient and outpatient care with duties such as referrals, rounds, notes, discharge summaries, and procedures.

Candidates must have 1 year bariatric surgery experience or 2 years general surgery with robotic first assist, hold PA or NP licensure with board certification, and possess

Qualifications

• Licensed Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner w/RNFA And Board Certification in Area of Practice Required
• Bachelor's Degree Physician Assistant or Master's Degree Physician Assistant Required or Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree Nursing Required
• 1 year of Bariatric Surgery Experience or 2 years of General Surgery with ROBOTIC FIRST ASSIST Required

Responsibilities

• Complete referrals, consults, daily patient rounds, daily notes, discharge summaries, and procedures.
• Clinic notes, pre and post procedure care, prescribing and patient follow-ups.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary care team to maximize patient outcomes.
• Educate PA/NP/CNM students during clinical rotations.
