Job summary

St. Charles Health System is seeking an Advance Practice Provider in Surgery to provide first/second assist in general, bariatric, colorectal, and breast procedures.

You will see inpatients and outpatients, perform rounds, document care, and coordinate post-op plans under physician supervision. The role requires Oregon PA/NP licensure, DEA, BLS, ACLS, and prior experience in hospital rounding; robotic surgery certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted licensure to practice as Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in Oregon.
• DEA license valid for medical practice in Oregon.
• BLS and ACLS certifications current.
• Experience as General Surgery first assist is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as First or Second Assistant during general, bariatric, colorectal, and breast surgery as directed.
• Perform patient examinations, document history and findings.
• Order and interpret labs, imaging, and other tests to guide care.
• Educate patients and families on medications, treatments and follow-up.
