Job summary

WakeMed Health & Hospitals seeks a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with ROBOTIC FIRST ASSIST experience to join WakeMed Physician Practices on a rotating schedule with weekends. The role covers Cary and occasional Raleigh campus shifts, delivering inpatient and outpatient surgical care under supervision of the Medical Director and APP Manager.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner w/RNFA And Board Certification in Area of Practice Required
• Bachelor's Degree Physician Assistant or Master's Degree Physician Assistant Required
• Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree Nursing Required
• Must have 2 or more years of General Surgery with ROBOTIC FIRST ASSIST experience

Responsibilities

• Deliver competent medical care to patients under supervision of Medical Director and APP Manager
• Perform inpatient and outpatient care including referrals, rounds, notes, discharge summaries, procedures, clinic notes, pre/post procedure care, prescribing, and follow-ups
• Educate PA/NP/CNM students and ensure scope of practice per NC Medical/Nursing boards and WakeMed policies
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to maximize patient care quality
