Job summary

CGB Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a Barge Facility Technician to join our Iowa operations. You will help load and unload barges and trucks, operate heavy equipment, and ensure grain quality with timely documentation in a safety-conscious environment.

The role requires physical endurance, the ability to work outdoors, and adherence to OSHA and environmental regulations. No prior experience is required, but a dependable work record is preferred; on-site training is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• No prior experience required; 1 year in an industrial setting preferred.
• Strong math and documentation abilities; effective interpersonal and written communication are essential.
• Ability to follow directions, work independently or in a team, and maintain safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment and assist loading/unloading of barges and trucks.
• Participate in the safety program and daily pre-shift meetings.
• Complete documentation accurately and timely.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs where applicable.
• Perform deckhand duties (e.g., reading drafts, tying off barges).
