Job summary

Orion is seeking a Barge Foreman for Louisiana field operations. You will supervise daily on-going marine construction on the work barge, coordinate crews and equipment, and ensure work is performed safely and efficiently.

The role requires five years of marine construction and supervisory experience, knowledge of piling, crane operations, welding, carpentry, and CPR/First Aid certification. You will work closely with the project team to meet schedules and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of marine construction experience on a work barge or equivalent supervisory role.
• Knowledge of piling/driving, crane operations, welding, carpentry, sandblasting and pipefitting.
• Training and certification in First Aid and CPR.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily on-going marine construction operations on the work barge.
• Oversee movement of marine rigs and coordinate equipment needs.
• Ensure permits are in hand and inspect equipment for proper operation.
• Train new workers in equipment use and resolve work problems.
• Maintain time records and supervise crew activities.
• Enforce Orion safety policies and environmental initiatives.
