Job summary

4eg is seeking a Barback with experience in a high-volume bar or restaurant to join our team in Chicago. You will help prepare the bar, restock supplies, and assist with guest service while contributing to a positive, energetic atmosphere where tips supplement earnings.

Qualifications

• Experience in a high-volume bar or restaurant is required.
• Strong communication skills and teamwork are essential.
• Must be reliable and demonstrate personal accountability.
• Knowledge of alcohol safety and city/state requirements preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up the bar for service.
• Monitor bar needs during shifts and restock as needed.
• Change blown kegs and manage keg inventory.
• Keep the bar and glassware clean and organized.
• Replenish ice, alcohol, juices, and supplies.
• Bus tables and assist with guest flow during shifts.
• Communicate effectively with team members.
• Be a dependable team member and take responsibility.
• Work varied hours, including nights and weekends.

What You’ll Need to Be Successful:

• Ensure that the bar is prepared and set up for success
• Keep constant awareness of the bar’s needs
• Change blown kegs
• Keep the bar clean, including all workspaces and glassware
• Replenish and stock ice, alcohol, juices, glassware, etc.
• Bus tables throughout shift
• Great communication skills
• Be a good teammate
• Be responsible, show personal accountability, and be reliable
• High-volume barback experience preferred
• Must maintain alcohol knowledge and safety certifications as required by company and city/state
• Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates
• Must be able to work nights, weekends, and certain holidays
