Job summary

Four Entertainment Group is seeking a Barback for aliveOne in Chicago to support a fast-paced bar and restaurant environment. You will help prepare the bar, restock supplies, and assist with guest experiences while keeping a positive and collaborative attitude.

The position offers part-time and full-time opportunities with competitive pay plus tips, plus discounts and team events. Prior high-volume bar experience is preferred to thrive in our energetic setting.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in a high-volume bar or restaurant.
• Strong communication and teamwork mindset is essential.
• Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Ensure bar is prepared and set up for success.
• Keep bar clean and stocked with ice, alcohol, and glassware.
• Replenish supplies and bus tables as needed.
• Maintain safety and alcohol knowledge as required.

aliveOne is our flagship location paying homage to live music, past and present. Serving up the best in music and spirits, any night of the week you can enjoy half-price happy hour, live concert DVDs playing on the TVs and Chicago’s only all-live music jukebox playing in the front room. Our weekly events include a new live band in the back room every Wednesday, our Thursday resident band, DJ dance parties on Friday and Saturday, and many others.

What You’ll Need To Be Successful

• Ensure that the bar is prepared and set up for success
• Keep constant awareness of the bar’s needs
• Change blown kegs
• Keep the bar clean, including all workspaces and glassware
• Replenish and stock ice, alcohol, juices, glassware, etc.
• Bus tables throughout shift
• Great communication skills
• Be a good teammate
• Be responsible, show personal accountability, and be reliable
• High-volume barback experience preferred
• Must maintain alcohol knowledge and safety certifications as required by company and city/state
• Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates
• Must be able to work nights, weekends, and certain holidays
