Job summary

Cowlitz Indian Tribe is seeking a team-oriented individual to support our Restaurant Server and Bartender Teams, keeping bars stocked with beer, wine, spirits, glassware and paper products to ensure guest service excellence.

You will apply knowledge of liquor laws, handle payments, operate the POS terminal, and uphold safety and confidentiality while assisting with night and weekend shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to foster teamwork.
• Must be over 21 years of age.
• Able to work nights and weekends.
• Must be able to lift up to 49 lbs and stand for 8 hours.
• Willing to work in a smoking environment.
• Adherence to company health and safety measures.

Position Summary:

Provides support to our Restaurant Server and Bartender Teams. Keeping bars stocked with supplies; including beer, wine, spirits, glassware, and paper products in accordance with departmental procedures to ensure our teams can provide world class guest service.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Promotes superior guest service.

• Interacting with our guests to ensure they have a positive experience.

• Uses point of sale terminal and completes other cashiering functions.

• Consistently applies knowledge of state liquor laws including proper identification procedures, monitoring levels of intoxication, intervention strategies, refusal of service, and shutoff procedures.

• Responsible for the handling all payment methods.

• Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.

• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma / GED; Recognized Equivalent of a High School Diploma (RED) or Foreign High School Diploma (FHD).

• Must possess excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to foster a supportive and enabling team environment.

• A successful candidate must be over 21 years of age.

• Must be dependable, flexible, and available to work any shift, especially nights and weekends.

• This is a standing position, and includes bending and lifting, you must be able to do this job effectively for an 8-hour shift.

• Must be able to lift up to 49 lbs.

• Must be willing to work in a smoking environment.

• Must be willing to adhere to company health and safety measures.

Wages:

This role offers a starting wage of $17.13 per hour. Candidates with relevant experience may be placed higher within the established pay range.
